Marcin Trela is attorney-at-law, a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. He completed various postgraduate studies: in commercial and corporate law at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, in competition and regulation of network industries at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, in competition law at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and in transport and forwarding at the Warsaw School of Economics. He obtained a certificate of professional competence in road haulage.
On 30 March 2021 Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, appointed Marcin Trela as Vice President of the Office of Rail Transport for rail market regulation. He commenced performing his duties on 1 April 2021.
