Punctuality of rail services in 3rd quarter of 2015

Statistics on the punctuality of rail services in the 3rd quarter of 2015 have been published on UTK website.

Comparing 3rd quarter of 2015 to the relative period of 2014, the overall punctuality of freight trains fell by 2,7%. However, it increased by 1,7% in the international segment of services. The average delay rose by 25%, to 607 minutes. The number of launched trains decreased by 4,6%. Freight trains delayed by more than two hours constitute the biggest share in all delayed trains. This share increased from 71,9% to 74,7%. The number of cancelled trains rose from 2,4 thousand to 9 thousand.

Comparing 3rd quarter of 2015 to the relative period of 2014, the overall punctuality of passenger trains (including also the delays below 5 minutes) increased from 72,8% to 74,3%. The overall level of punctuality excluding delays below 5 minutes slightly fell from 90% to 89,9%. The average delay of trains fell from 21 minutes 22 seconds to 20 minutes 30 seconds (counting only the delays above 5 minutes). The number of launched trains rose from 384,0 thousand to 404,4 thousand and the number of cancelled trains from 653 to 866.
