- In recent years the intermodal transport market is developing systematically. Despite the difficult situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, in 1Q 2021 there is a visible increase in all parameters as compared to 1Q 2020 - comments Ignacy Góra, President of the Office of Rail Transport. - It is worth noting that the majority of rail carriers reported good results which in turn is shown in our statistics. Further growth of intermodal transport is possible but we have to support rail transport as a viable alternative to road transport. Improving network’s capacity will also allow us to increase rail transport’s potential - he adds.

In 1Q 2021 20 licensed rail carriers performed intermodal transport services.
