80 m passengers transported in the first quarter 2019


In the first quarter of 2019, a total of 80 m passengers were transported - almost 10% more than in the same period last year. Only in March 2019, over 28 m people traveled by rail - over 15% more than a year earlier.

In the first three months of this year, the value of transport performance amounted to 4.9 bn pass-km, while the operational perforamance value of almost 42 m train-km. These values ​​were higher, respectively, by 6.3% and 1.2% than last year. The average distance traveled by one passenger in March was 64 km.

In March 2019, the value of transport performance amounted to nearly 1.7 bn passenger-km, and operating performance - 14.2 m train-kilometers, which means increases by 8.5% and 1.8% respectively as compared to March 2018.
